SLIME – “FIRST CAPE”

“First Cape” is where the hinterland of the night oozes into day’s brilliant light, caught under the duress of motorway dreams. Cars become beds to become cars again. Service stations loom in the forever-nearing mid distance like an oasis of sanity, while metronomic central reservation lights hang like headless angels of the north.

This is the journey back down.

Exhausted and gammy eyed, Slime accelerates into tomorrow holding onto the inside handle of the backseat door, feeling the curvature of the road bend to new ends.
